ACO Kids Shopping List

The ACO Food Pantry offers crisis food to families living in Allen area communities. Canned food items, non-perishables, frozen meats and fresh produce and dairy are often available to families in need. Stock in the ACO Food Pantry is a reflection of donations from the community and support from the North Texas Food Bank.

Families wishing to receive groceries from our pantry should contact the ACO Office for an appointment to receive a voucher. The office is located in the Allen Community Outreach Center at 801 E. Main Street. The ACO Food Pantry is also located at the Main Street location. Contact 972-727-9131 for an appointment.

Individuals, groups, businesses, churches, schools and organization all support the ACO Food Pantry with donations, holding local food drives and volunteering their time. A list of most needed items is available below.

Information to make donations or volunteer may be available by contacting Marjorie Vaneskahian, Director of Volunteer Services or Michelle Clough, Food Pantry Manager at 972-727-9131

Thanks to our partners in the pantry- North Texas Food Bank, Market Street, Whole Foods, Target stores, Walmart stores, Kroger stores, Panera Bread, Papa Johns, Elke’s Market Cafe, Petco and other generous retailers.

2013 Focus on Healthy Food Options

In addition to all non-perishables that are accepted at the ACO Food Pantry, ACO’s focus for 2013 will be on collecting healthy food choices for our local families in need. You can help us achieve our goals by choosing low-fat, fat-free, whole grain and low-sodium food items to donate.
