The  2008 Fill the Bus school supply drive, a joint effort between the Allen Chamber of Commerce, the AISD and the Allen Community Outreach will be from August 4 through August 15, 2008. There are about 2300 students in the Allen and Lovejoy ISD that are on Free and Reduced lunch and these children will be the benefactors of the Fill the Bus program. In 2007 we delivered over 48,000 supplies.

An AISD school bus will be sponsored by local businesses at various locations around town on August 4-8 and August 11 & 12.  (See the list below).  You can drop off your school supplies donation to one of the following locations or you can drop them off at our office at 301 W Boyd Drive, Suite A, Allen, Texas.

          August 4 – Stacy Furniture
          August 5 – Legacy Bank/Atrium Financial Services/Barton Black CPA
          August 6 – Market Street
          August 7 – Citibank (McDermott & Watters)
          August 8 – Experian AND Comerica (Stacy & Angel Parkway)
          August 11 – Heritage Ranch Golf and Country Club AND JaRyCo (Twin Creeks Hospital)
          August 12 – Kroger @ Exchange AND Regions Bank (McDermott & Alma)

          The Allen Chamber of Commerce and
                AISD – Pat Dillard Center 
                       will be hosting a bus for the entire event.

            You can also drop off school supplies at the following locations.
                       Collection dates are August 4 - August 12.

Volunteers also play a vital role in the Fill the Bus campaign. Volunteers will be needed for the following:

          August 4-8, 4pm -
               Help unload the bus at Boyd Elementary
          August 11-12, 4pm –
               Help unload the bus at Boyd Elementary
          August 12-14, 9am-3pm –
               Help sort, count and pack supplies at Boyd Elementary
          August 15
               9am – Distribution –
                    Volunteers with trucks, SUV’s, vans to help distribute
                    bulk  supplies to the schools.
               9am-noon – Pick Up – Volunteers to help with client packet pick up.
