Collin County Mobility Collaborative (CCMC) Contract Grant Writer & Program Manager opportunity

Collin County Mobility Collaborative (CCMC) is a newly formed collaborative that was developed out of the Toyota Impact Grant process. The Collaborative is made up of 5 non-profit organizations: Agape Resource Center, Shiloh Place McKinney, Family Promise of Collin County, Hope’s Door New Beginnings Center, and Collin County Cares. Our purpose is to make a lasting difference in homeless families, breaking the cycle of poverty.

Our multi-pronged program includes:
• Providing safe and stable housing
• Assisting with reliable and affordable transportation
• Facilitating childcare and youth development
• Improving earning capacity through education, job training, job certification, and job placement.

PROJECT MANAGER
THIS IS A CONTRACT POSITION

The Program Manager is responsible for all accounting (reconciliations, reports, check requests, etc.) coordination, implementation, and execution of the Collin County Mobility Collaborative (CCMC) ensuring consistency with commitments and goals. Anticipated: 30hrs/week

Position Responsibilities
• Establish a consistent and proven process and framework for implementing project.
• Bring clarity to the allocation of resources against project.
• Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
• Define project tasks and resource requirements and manage project resource allocation
• Track project deliverables using appropriate tools and constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders.
• Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
• Effectively communicate project status and issues to leadership.
• Provide recommendations for enhancements and process improvements.
• Develop and maintain standard project documentation including requirements, action items, agendas, minutes and project plans.
• Analyze data and report outcomes to stakeholders.
• Manage monthly and quarterly program reporting processes.
• Monitor CCMC budget.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
• Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts receivable clerk or Accounts payable clerk.
• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
• Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software (QB online).
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Aptitude for numbers.
• Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks.
• Data entry and word processing skills.
• Well-organized.
• Results-oriented and experienced at managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering on time
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
• Enthusiastic can-do personality.

REPORTS TO: Executive Committee of CCMC
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management preferred.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three to five years of non-profit experience preferred.

GRANT WRITER
THIS IS A CONTRACT POSITION

The Grant Writer is responsible for finding, writing, and applying for all grants which are appropriate for CCMC. The successful candidate will have expertise and a proven track record in grant writing, relationship building, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, is comfortable working in a changing environment, be an effective and persuasive communicator, treats others with respect and dignity, is collaborative with a focus on shared goals and has a strong attention to detail. Candidate would also be proactive with a high sense of urgency and a self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Anticipated: 20hrs/month

REPORTS TO: Executive Committee of CCMC

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Focus on preparing and submitting grants in keeping with the goals and mission of CCMC.
• Look to attract and develop new partnerships.
• Create a grant writing plan that includes identification of foundations, companies and other sources of target grants with high likelihood of successful efforts
• Develop a timeline of when grants are due and therefore when they will be in the writing process
• Possess or develop an understating of the mission, goals & preferences of the granting agencies / companies that will allow best alignment with CCMC.
• Develop a targeted and prioritized approach to seeking grants
• Own and hit/exceed quarterly grant writing and fund goals.
• Understands and supports CCMC’s strategic direction in the community.
• Identifies and develops new opportunities for resources
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Experience working in a non-profit and/or in a fast-paced team environment a plus.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree. Three to five years related experience required (nonprofit experience preferred)

EXPERIENCE: Three to five years of experience in community work, non-profit sector, relevant private sector, or related fields preferred. Successful track record in achieving or exceeding fundraising goals. Grant writing, development and fundraising knowledge required.

Allen Community Outreach

Driver Helper
30 hours per week, must be available between 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

The Driver Helper assists the truck driver in picking up donations from donor homes or businesses and in delivering donations and merchandise to the warehouse and ACO stores. This is a physical, fast-paced, outdoor position that involves continual lifting, lowering and carrying furniture, appliances, and totes of donations. It requires excellent customer contact skills and a lot of walking.

Position Responsibilities:

The Driver Helper assists the truck driver by performing any of the following tasks:

  • Act as a safety lookout for the truck driver to avoid potential hazards especially when backing up
  • Load and unload trucks by hand or with the use dollies, hand trucks or pallet jacks
  • Go to donor homes or businesses and pick up donations
  • Pad, stack, and secure items in positions in truck to prevent damage during shipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Responsible for appropriate use and upkeep of all equipment provided by ACO
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds or more
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, twist and climb
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
  • Have a good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to succeed in a team environment
