Volunteer Spotlight: Michael Davenport

We would like to recognize Michael Davenport for at his service at ACO. Michael volunteers 5 days each week at the Food Pantry.

Without dedicated volunteers like Michael, ACO would not be able to effectively serve families in need in our community. Our volunteers provide the manpower we need to reach our mission of preventing hunger and homelessness.

When asked about Michael, Geoben Johnson, the Food Pantry Manager, said this:

Michael is one of the most reliable volunteers that we have. We call him the meat man because he is the one that always bags the meat for distribution.

He is like the energizer bunny; he never stops working so look out that you don’t get run over!

Once he finishes a task he looks for the next one to do.
