I hope your new year is off to a grand start! I want to personally thank you for your commitment to Allen Community Outreach. With your support, we are able to provide assistance and relief to many families facing hunger and homelessness among their hardships.
We always want to keep you informed and share with you what is happening within ACO’s walls, as well as the needs out in our community. Last week, ACO’s Board of Directors made a leadership change and have appointed me immediately as Interim CEO so that programs and services continue seamlessly moving forward.
As you may know, I have served as ACO’s Chief Operating Officer since late 2016, and prior to that served under Glenda May as Deputy Executive Director. ACO has been a huge part of my life, my career and my heart since I joined the staff in 2001 where I began as Director of Volunteer Services.
January began with some very positive action items including adding five new directors to our Board, and welcoming additional staff to our team. We are also planning some fun events for 2019, to involve you and raise much needed funds. Please read more below…
You have my assurance and commitment to carry out ACO’s mission and lead our most competent and dedicated staff to support those in need in our community. But, please know how important your support is as a partner in our efforts.
