ALLEN, TX- March 19, 2019;  The Allen Community Outreach Board of Directors named Marjorie Vaneskahian Burr as the new Chief Executive Officer at their directors meeting this morning. Ms. Burr has held the position of Interim CEO since late January, 2019.

“We are thrilled to have Marjorie leading our organization as CEO and have every confidence that she will carry out the mission with the passion and commitment she has shown to ACO for many years,” said Board President, Amy Gnadt.

Ms. Burr joined the ACO staff in 2001 as the Director of Volunteer Services and has been instrumental in the growth of the agency for more than a decade. She has served as Director of Community Development, Deputy Executive Director under former ACO leader, Glenda May, and the past two years as Chief Operating Officer.

“I can’t be more honored than I am today.” said Burr. “This is a mission that I truly believe in. ACO has not only been a job for 15+ years, but has been my life, my heart and my home. I believe in our talented staff, our committed Board and volunteers, and our kind and generous donors. Together we work so diligently to prevent hunger and homelessness and I see the impact we make every day with each family who comes through our doors.”
