Overview:

Seeking qualified individual with a passion for ACO’s mission to prevent hunger and homelessness. This position networks with businesses and individuals in the communities throughout Collin County to build relationships and promote ACO’s mission and vision.

They will work closely with Chief Community Development Officer and Communications Manager to promote the organization and seek opportunities for community engagement, creating partnerships, soliciting sponsorships, and awareness. Must be flexible to work before and after hours and weekends as needed.

ACO seeks a friendly outgoing team player who is highly dependable, organized with the ability to multitask, excellent communication skills and a strong fit with the culture of the agency.

The Director of Community Engagement will be responsible for every aspect of ACO fundraising events, community outreach programs, presentations to groups and organizations, and meeting goals set forth by the Board and Leadership team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of fundraising experience
  • Team-oriented
  • Relationship builder, interpersonal skills
  • Effective communicator, written & verbal
  • Able to Multitask
  • Organized & detail oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and graphics programs
  • Social media expertise a plus
  • Sales Force & Click & Pledge experience a plus
  • Non-profit experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Collin County communities preferred
