Supervisor: Director of Annex Operations

Classification: Non-Exempt, Full-Time

Hours: 40 hrs. per week

Overview:

The role is responsible for a diverse range of duties, including operating a company truck to collect donations, engaging with donors, displaying merchandise, ensuring a safe and clean environment, loading and unloading goods, and delivering exceptional experiences for donors, volunteers, and customers at the Resale Store and Donation Center.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a representative of ACO, building positive relationships with donors, customers, and volunteers
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at the store and in company vehicles
  • Assist with the screening and acceptance of donations and manage drop-offs efficiently
  • Oversee the safety of the store, surrounding areas, and equipment
  • Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders, including customers, volunteers, donors and colleagues
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and guidelines presented in the All Community Outreach Handbook
  • Participate in daily loading and unloading of donations and purchased items
  • Support the processing, organizing, and merchandising of donated goods
  • Perform additional duties as required

Required Skills:

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate must fully understand and align with the mission of All Community Outreach. The candidate should have strong problem-solving abilities, be able to thrive in a fast-paced team environment and demonstrate proficiency in multitasking. A keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently are essential. Candidates must also have basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, and understand percentages and decimals.

The individual must have excellent communication skills, demonstrate tact, courtesy, and professionalism when interacting with customers, donors, volunteers, colleagues, and the public. The ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals is essential.

Qualifications:

  • At least two years of progressively responsible, relevant experience, or a combination of education, training, and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the role’s essential duties
  • Clean driving record
  • Valid Texas driver’s license

Equipment and Materials Used:

  • Pallet jack, hydraulic lift gates, hand tools

Special Requirements:

  • May require weekend shifts, including Saturdays
  • Must regularly lift or move up to 100 pounds
  • This is a physical role that involves standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, stooping and kneeling

Work Environment:

This role is performed in a retail and warehouse setting with occasional exposure to dust, dirt, and temperature variations. The role requires local travel and frequent interaction with the public.
