All Community Outreach (ACO) was founded in 1985 by a group of caring community members who provided information and referrals for Allen residents. After a few years, with the growth of the area population along with its needs, ACO began to offer essential human and social services such as food and case management for families in crisis, expanding its reach to other communities.
Today, ACO provides programs and services throughout Collin County to support families facing hunger and homelessness while providing guidance and support to a path of financial security. It has a Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar USA, Inc., and is a Four Star Charity by Charity Navigator. Both organizations provide unbiased information and ratings about U.S.A. nonprofits.
Because of the ongoing commitment from local supporters, private foundations, and business partners, ACO is able to help thousands of individuals and families each year.

All Community Outreach’s Resale Shop first opened in 1998 as the “Upscale Resale Shop.” Founded on All Community Outreach’s mission of providing essentials, the principles have not changed: providing free, quality clothing and household essentials to clients who reside in Collin County while simultaneously selling affordable clothing, furniture, and housewares to the public. Proceeds from the Resale Shop provide a source of funding which offers ongoing support for other ACO programs.
In 2024, the ACO Resale Shop expanded to a renovated space at 117 N. Greenville Avenue, with 4x the sales floor space. At that time the Pat McGarity Volunteer Center was opened, providing volunteers a large workspace for sorting and pricing to support the store staff.
With the support of donations from local residents and businesses, ACO is able to continue to fill the store with a variety of merchandise while providing critical funds to help families with emergencies such as financial assistance for rent and utilities, clothing and food, and long term goals of education and employment to provide permanent sustainability.
